北美市場

美國股市下跌,標準普爾500指數未能連續3週上漲,

因油價上升至30個月以來高位,拖
累運輸股下跌,及投資者揣測聯邦政府可能會關閉,
為1996年以來首見。


原油價格於紐約交易時段升穿112美元水平,
為30個月以來首次,而布蘭特原油亦突破
126美元,因市場揣測產油量於內戰結束後將會反彈,
及美元轉弱增強原材料需求。

美國參議院通過一項短期開支法案,維持聯邦政府正常運作。


美國聯儲局公佈,當地消費信貸於2月份連續第5個月上升,
因教育等非循環信貸增加。



歐洲市場


歐洲股市上升,Stoxx Europe 600指數連續第3週造好,因日本7.1級餘震對經濟的影響

有限。



日本市場


日本股市上升,日經225平均指數連續第3週造好,
因市場進一步預期上週四的7.1級地
震影響有限。



亞太市場


亞洲股市上漲,
地區基準指數上升至自上個月日本大地震以來最高水平,因市場揣測上
週四日本發生7.1級的餘震的影響有限,
及重建工作或令工程公司從中受惠。

台灣加權指數下跌,但連升3週。
採用微軟及Google作業系統的全球最大手機生產商HTC
Corp.下跌,創下自3月15日以來最大跌幅。
President Capital Management Corp.分析
員Wei-Hang Chen表示,該股已呈超買。

南韓Kospi指數上升,並連續第4週造好。造船股上漲,
Tong Yang Securities Inc.分
析員Lee Jae Won於電話表示,
油價上升及環球需求復甦可望持續帶動鑽井設備及船隻
需求增加,而市場對造船訂單的憧憬亦帶動造船股上揚。

印度股市連跌4日,全週升幅收窄,
因市場憂慮能源價格上升將推高通脹。







中國/香港


中國股市上揚,基準指數上升至5個月以來高位,
市場推測通脹壓力有望舒緩,及經濟
能夠抗衡緊縮政策的衝擊。

上海汽車勁上升,並率領汽車股造好,
因投資者預期3月份汽車銷售增加。江西銅業創
下3週以來最大漲幅,因銅價上漲。
中國石化及中國神華率領能源股上升,此前油價突
破每桶110美元水平。

香港股市走高,恆生指數連續第3週上漲。中國聯通及?
豐控股上揚,此前分析員預計兩
家公司將會錄得增長。

中國聯通上升,於?生指數成分股中錄得最大升幅,
此前UBS調高該公司12個月目標價,
指其3G用戶人數將會急增。



新興市場


巴西股市於1個月以來首度錄得單週跌幅。銀行股下跌,
因政府將消費貸款稅調高1倍,
藉以壓抑通脹。



債券市場


美國國庫券下跌,連續第3週收低。
隨著美元下跌至自2009年12月以來最低水平,而油
價觸及每桶113美元,加上金價升至紀錄新高,
交易員進一步預期通脹上升。



U.S. Market

U.S. stocks fell, preventing the third straight weekly gain for the Standard
& Poor’s 500 Index, as oil’s rally to a 30-month high drove down
transportation shares and investors speculated the federal government may
shut for the first time since 1996.



Crude rose above $112 in New York for the first time in 30 months and Brent
topped $126 on skepticism that Libyan output will rebound when fighting ends
and as a weaker dollar increased demand for raw materials.



The U.S. Senate passed a short-term spending measure to keep the government
operating.



U.S. consumer borrowing rose for a fifth straight month in February on an
increase in non-revolving credit as education loans expanded, the Federal
Reserve reported.



European Market

European stocks rose, extending the Stoxx Europe 600 Index’s third straight
week of gains, as 7.1-magnitude aftershock in Japan caused limited economic
damage.



Japan Market

Japanese stocks gained, sending the Nikkei 225 Stocks Average higher for a
third consecutive week, on growing speculation damage from Thursday’s 7.1
magnitude aftershock was limited.



Asia / Pacific Market

Asian stocks advanced, driving the regional benchmark index to its highest
level since last month’s earthquake, on speculation damage was limited from
Thursday’s 7.1 magnitude aftershock in Japan and that engineering companies
may benefit from efforts to rebuild the country.



Taiwan’s Taiex Index slipped, but rose for the third week. HTC Corp., the
world’s largest maker of handsets using Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp.
operating systems, lost 3.3 percent, the biggest drop since March 15, as the
shares are “overbought,” said Wei-Hang Chen, an analyst at President
Capital Management Corp.



South Korea’s Kospi Index rose, and recorded its fourth straight weekly
advance. Shipbuilders surged. “Higher oil prices and global demand recovery
are likely to continue to boost orders for drilling facilities and
vessels,” Lee Jae Won, an analyst at Tong Yang Securities Inc., said by
phone. “Optimism for orders momentum is driving Korean shipyards higher.”



Indian shares fell for the fourth day, paring a weekly advance, on concern
higher energy prices will fan inflation.



China/ Hong Kong

China stocks rose, driving the benchmark index to a five-month high, on
speculation inflation will ease and the economy is weathering tightening
measures.



SAIC Motor Corp. jumped, leading gains for automakers on speculation sales
increased last month Jiangxi Copper Co. climbed the most in three weeks as
metal prices advanced. China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. and China Shenhua
Energy Co. led energy producers higher as oil traded above $110 a barrel.



Hong Kong stocks rose, sending the Hang Seng Index to its third weekly gain,
as China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. and HSBC Holdings Plc advanced after
analysts forecast growth.



China Unicom jumped, the steepest gain in the Hang Seng Index. UBS raised
its 12-month share-price, citing the company’s “explosive” growth in
third-generation mobile-phone subscribers.



Emerging Markets

Brazil’s Bovespa stock index posted its first weekly decline in a month as
banks fell after policy makers doubled a tax on consumer loans to try to
curb inflation.



Bond Market

Treasuries fell, extending a third weekly loss, as traders added to bets on
inflation with the dollar dropping to the lowest level since December 2009,
oil reaching $113 a barrel and gold climbing to a record.
