北美市場

美國股市下跌,並?去3個月以來最大單日升幅的近半升勢,因投資者憂慮油價上升至29個月以來高位,將削弱該全球最大經濟體系的增長步伐。

美國2月份失業率意外地回落至近兩年以來最低水平,而就業職位亦增加,因市場增強
對經濟增長的信心。


歐洲市場

歐洲股市下跌,因美國薪酬增長未能跟隨經濟增長而上升,加上能源成本及油價上漲,
此前投資者揣測,北非的民主示威浪潮將蔓延至阿拉伯地區。


日本市場

日本股市上升,因有跡象顯示美國經濟加速復甦,抵銷有關油價及中東局勢動蕩的憂
慮。


亞太市場

亞洲股市於上週連續第4日上升,因美國申領失業救濟人數下降,增強市場對該全球最
大經濟體系的信心,並舒緩有關油價及中東局勢動蕩的憂慮。


台灣加權指數上升,全週上漲。當地最大液晶體螢幕生產商Chimei Innolux Corp上漲
至自2月9日以來最高水平。Commercial Times報導,該公司供應Apple Inc.的iPad 2螢
幕,但未有引述消息來源。


南韓Kospi指數上升,全週上升。零售股方面,南韓最大百貨公司營運商Lotte
Shopping Co.上升,創下自9月1日以來最大升幅。Hyundai Department Store Co.上
升。Woori Investment & Securities Co.表示,上半年的消費開支升幅將會高於預
期。


中國/香港

中國股市上升,基準指數全週造好,因市場揣測全國人大會議將會討論推出措施,增加
保障房供應及刺激本土消費。

每年一度的全國人大會議將於3月5日至15日在北京舉行,屆時將會審批政府未來5年
(2011-2015年)的經濟發展計劃。

中國證券報引述知情人士報導,上月份人民幣新增貸款少於6,000億元人民幣(910億美
元),低於1月份的1.04萬億元人民幣。

香港股市上升,恆生指數上升至兩週以來最高水平,因美國首次申領失業救濟人數減
少,增強市場對該全球最大經濟體系的信心。

上週五為香港股市午休時段長達2小時的最後一日。由3月7日起,午休時段將會縮短至
90分鐘。上午交易時段將於中午12時結束,並於本港時間1時30分開市。


新興市場

巴西股市下跌,全週升幅收窄,因利比亞緊張局勢加劇刺激油價上升,增強環球經濟增
長放緩的可能性。


債券市場

美國國庫券上升,因政府報告顯示,就業職位增長少於部分交易員預期,及薪酬增長於
2月份持平。




U.S. Market

U.S. stocks declined, erasing almost half of the biggest daily gain in three
months, amid investor concern that the surge in crude oil price to a
29-month high will curtail the expansion in the world’s biggest economy.



Joblessness in the U.S. unexpectedly fell in February to the lowest level in
almost two years, and employers boosted payrolls amid growing confidence in
the expansion.



European Market

European stocks fell after U.S. wages failed to keep pace with a surge in
energy costs and oil climbed as investors speculated that pro-democracy
protests in North Africa will spread to the Arabian peninsula.



Japan Market

Japanese stocks rose, as signs the U.S. recovery is strengthening outweighed
concern about oil prices and Middle East unrest.



Asia / Pacific Market

Asian stocks rose for the fourth day last week after fewer Americans filed
unemployment claims, boosting confidence in the world’s largest economy and
easing concern about oil prices and Middle East unrest.



Taiwan’s Taiex Index rose. The benchmark rose over the week. Chimei Innolux
Corp., Taiwan’s largest maker of liquid-crystal displays, jumped to the
highest since Feb. 9. The company supplied panels used in Apple Inc.’s
iPad2 tablets, the Commercial Times reported, without saying where it got
the information.



The Kospi Index rose, ending the week high. Retailers: Lotte Shopping Co.,
South Korea’s biggest department-store owner, jumped the most since Sept.
1. Hyundai Department Store Co. added. The shares gained after Woori
Investment & Securities Co. said consumer spending will increase more than
forecast in the first half.



China/ Hong Kong

China’s stocks rose, capping a weekly advance for the benchmark index, on
speculation an annual government congress will introduce policies to boost
low-income housing and spur domestic spending.



The National People’s Congress will hold its annual plenary meetings from
March 5 to March 15 in Beijing, during which time they will review and
approve the government’s economic development plans covering the five years
from 2011 through 2015.



China’s banks extended less than 600 billion yuan ($91 billion) of
local-currency new loans last month, compared with 1.04 trillion yuan in
January, the China Securities Journal reported today, citing an unidentified
person.



Hong Kong shares gained, sending the Hang Seng Index to its highest level in
two weeks as fewer Americans filed unemployment claims, boosting confidence
in the world’s biggest economy.



Friday was the last day of Hong Kong stocks exchange’s two hour
midday-trading break before being cut to 90 minutes from March 7. The
morning session will end at 12 p.m. and resume at 1:30 p.m. local time.



Emerging Markets

Brazilian stocks fell, paring a weekly gain, as oil prices surged on
intensified unrest in Libya, raising the prospect of slower global economic
growth.



Bond Market

Treasuries rose after a government report showed the economy added fewer
jobs than some traders expected and wage growth was flat in February.
