美國市場

美國股市上升,標準普爾500指數連升4日,而道瓊斯工業平均指數則?去今年的跌幅,
因私人企業就業職位增長較預期為佳,舒緩經濟步向衰退的憂慮。



美國8月份新增就業職位數目高於預期,舒緩市場該全球最大經濟體系步向衰退的憂
慮。



歐洲市場

歐洲股市錄得自7月以來最大單週升幅,因美國及加拿大經濟報告令投資者相信經濟持
續復甦及企業併購傳聞增加。



英國8月份服務業放緩速度較經濟師預期為快,顯示當地經濟復甦可能乏力。



日本市場

日本股市第3日上漲,基準指數於1個月以來首度錄得單週升幅,此前美國待完成成屋銷
售意外上升及零售銷售改善。



日本企業開支創下自2007年以來最低降幅,因海外需求上升帶動企業盈利增加。



亞太市場

亞洲股市上升,基準指數於1個月以來最大單週升幅擴大,因美國待完成成屋銷售意外
上升,增強市場對該全球最大經濟體系的信心。



台灣加權指數第3日上升,創下4週以來最大升幅。平面螢幕生產商方面,當地最大液晶
體螢幕生產商Chimei Innolux Corp上升,創下自2009年10月13日以來最大升幅。Jih
Sun Securities Co分析員Richard Ko表示,預期第4季消費產品需求將會相對第3季得
到改善。



南韓Kospi指數上升,創下近兩個月以來最大單週升幅。亞洲最大半導體、平面螢幕及
手機生產商Samsung Electronics Co上升。該公司在柏林的消費電子產品展中表示,將
於10月份開始發售平板電腦Galaxy Tab,並與Apple Inc.的iPad競爭。



南韓第2季經濟增長幅度與原先預期相若,因市場對當地的半導體及電子產品需求增
加。南韓央行表示,第2季國內生產總值按季增長1.4%,比對7月初預測的增長1.5%。韓
國經濟按年增長7.2%,與原先預期一致。



中國/香港

大部分中國股市上升。汽車股上升,因市場預期汽車銷售將會增加,抵銷金融股的跌
勢,此前投資者擔憂政府將會採取更多措施壓抑房地產市場的投機性活動。



香港股市上升。地產股領漲,因信和置業業績較預期為佳,及香港房地產交易額上升至
近3年以來最高水平。



新興市場

巴西股市創下自7月以來最大單週升幅。Petroleo Brasileiro SA上升,因市場揣測公
司的配股計劃有助發展探油進程。



債券市場

美國國庫券價格下跌,此前政府就業報告顯示8月份就業職位增長較預期為佳,舒緩當
地經濟再度陷入衰退的憂慮。





U.S. Market

U.S. stocks rose, with the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index gaining a fourth day
and the Dow Jones Industrial Average erasing its loss for the year, as
better- than-estimated growth in private payrolls eased concern the economy
is sliding back into a recession.



Companies in the U.S. added more jobs than forecast in August, easing
concern the world’s largest economy is sliding back into a recession.



European Market

European stocks posted the biggest weekly gain since July as reports from
the U.S. and China reassured investors that the economic recovery is not
faltering and takeover speculation increased.



U.K. services growth slowed more than economists forecast in August,
suggesting Britain’s economic recovery may be starting to flag.



Japan Market

Japanese stocks rose for a third day, driving benchmark indexes to their
first weekly gain in a month, after U.S. reports showed an unexpected
increase in pending home sales and improved retail sales.



Japanese businesses cut spending at the slowest pace since 2007 as demand
from abroad spurred earnings.



Asia / Pacific Market

Asian stocks rose, extending the benchmark index’s biggest weekly gain in a
month, as a surprisingly positive increase in pending U.S. home sales lifted
confidence in the world’s largest economy.



Taiwan’s Taiex index rose for the third day. The benchmark index advanced
over the week, the biggest gain in four weeks. Flat panel companies: Chimei
Innolux Corp., Taiwan’s largest liquid-crystal-display maker, surged the
most since Oct. 13, 2009, amid speculation fourth-quarter demand for
consumer electronics will improve from the previous three months, said
Richard Ko, an analyst at Jih Sun Securities Co.



South Korea’s Kospi index rose, ending the week the most in almost two
months. Samsung Electronics Co, Asia’s biggest maker of semiconductors,
flat screens and mobile phones, climbed. It will start selling its Galaxy
Tab tablet computer, a challenger to Apple Inc.’s iPad, in Europe in
October, the company said at a consumer electronics conference in Berlin.



South Korea’s economy expanded at almost the same pace in the second
quarter as initially estimated, fueled by demand for the nation’s exports
of semiconductors and electronic products. Gross domestic product grew 1.4
percent over the three months to June from the first quarter, compared with
a July estimate of 1.5 percent, the Bank of Korea said. The economy grew 7.2
percent from a year earlier, matching the earlier estimate.



China/ Hong Kong Market

Most China stocks rose as automakers gained on prospects sales will pick up,
countering declines by financial companies on concern that the government
will impose more measures to curb property speculation.



Hong Kong stocks rose, led by developers, as Sino Land Co. reported
better-than-expected earnings and after home sales in the city jumped to the
highest in almost three years.



Emerging Markets

Brazil’s Bovespa stock index posted the biggest weekly gain since July
after Petroleo Brasileiro SA rallied on speculation a planned equity
offering will bolster its oil exploration program.



Bond Market

Treasuries dropped after the government’s payrolls report showed U.S.
companies added more jobs in August than forecast, easing concern that the
economy is falling into another recession.
