美國市場

美國股市上升,標準普爾500指數自6月以來首度兩升兩週,因躉售存貨升幅高於預期及
中國石油進口增加,增強市場對環球經濟復甦的憧憬。



美國7月份躉售存貨創下兩年以來最大升幅,因需求反彈促使企業增加存貨。



歐洲市場

歐洲股市連續第2週上升,因美國申領失業救濟人數跌幅高於預期,進一步顯示經濟可
望避免再度陷入衰退。



英國8月份生產物價創下6個月以來最低按年增長,顯示通脹壓力可能消退。



日本市場

日本股市上升,基準指數連續第2週報升,因美國申領失業救濟人數低於預期及日圓貶
值。全球最大相機生產商Canon Inc上漲,此前該公司宣佈回購股票計劃。



日本第2季經濟增張幅度高於原先預期,因出口及資本開支被向上修訂。



亞太市場

大部分亞洲股市上升,因日本調高第2季經濟增長預測及美國申領失業救濟人數減少。



台灣加權指數上升,終止3日跌勢。Arima Optoelectronics Corp上升至自4月30日以來
最高水平,因該公司於交易所聲明中公告,已簽約投資3,000萬美元於吳江經濟開發區
研發生產LED技術。



南韓Kospi指數上升至自2008年6月9日以來最高水平,並連續第2週上升。證券商方面,
Woori Investment & Securities Co上升、Daewoo Securities Co上升及Mirae Asset
Securities Co則上升,因市場揣測股市上升將有助增加證券交易。



中國/香港

中國股市反彈,基準指數連續第2週上漲,因市場憂慮通脹加快及房地產市場出現泡
沫,促使投資者轉投製藥股和其他具防守性的股份。



中國貿易盈餘連續第3個月超越200億美元,凸顯中美兩國就人民幣估值是否過低問題上
的摩擦。



香港恆生指數連續第2週上升。出口股上漲,因美國申領失業救濟人數降幅高於預期,
增強市場環球經濟復甦的憧憬。



新興市場

巴西股市上升,並連續第2週造好,因市場進一步預期利率維持低企,抵銷有關
Petroleo Brasileiro SA的750億美元配股將會攤薄當地股票的需求。



印度工業生產於7月份加速增長,增加央行於今年以來第5度加息的壓力。



債券市場

美國國庫券下跌,10年期國庫券孳息率上升至1個月以來最高水平,因美國及亞洲股市
上升。美國躉售存貨及日本經濟增長數據理想,增強市場對環球經濟復甦的憧憬。



U.S. Market

U.S. stocks advanced, with the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index capping its
first consecutive weekly gains since June, as higher-than-forecast wholesale
inventories and surging imports of oil in China boosted optimism about the
global economic recovery.



Inventories at U.S. wholesalers rose in July by the most in two years as a
rebound in demand prompted companies to add to stockpiles.



European Market

European stocks gained for a second straight week as a bigger-than-forecast
drop in U.S. jobless- benefit claims added to indications the economy may
avoid another recession.



U.K. producer prices rose in August at the slowest annual pace in six
months, a sign inflation pressures in the economy may be waning.



Japan Market

Japanese stocks rose, sending benchmark gauges to their second straight
weekly gain, as fewer people than estimated applied for jobless benefits in
the U.S. and after the yen weakened. Canon Inc., the world’s largest camera
maker, surged after the company announced a share buyback plan.



Japan’s economy expanded more than initially estimated in the second
quarter, driven by exports and an upward revision to capital spending.



Asia / Pacific Market

Most Asian stocks rose as Japan boosted its estimate for second-quarter
economic growth and fewer people applied for jobless benefits in the U.S..



Taiwan’s Taiex index rose, snapping three days of declines. Arima
Optoelectronics Corp. jumped to the highest since April 30. The company said
in a statement to the stock exchange it signed an agreement to invest up to
$30 million with China’s Wujiang Economic Development Zone to develop and
produce light-emitting diodes.



South Korea’s Kospi index rose to the highest since June 9, 2008, and
recorded its second straight weekly advance. Brokerages: Woori Investment &
Securities Co., Daewoo Securities Co. and Mirae Asset Securities Co.
climbed. The shares advanced on speculation a gain in the benchmark index
will help boost trading.



China/ Hong Kong Market

China’s stocks rebounded, capping a second week of gains for the benchmark
index, as concerns about faster inflation and a property bubble spurred
investors to switch to drugmakers and other so-called defensive industries.



China posted a third straight trade surplus of more than $20 billion,
highlighting friction with the U.S. over claims that the nation’s currency
is undervalued.



Hong Kong’s benchmark stock index rose for a second week, as exporters
climbed on a more-than- expected fall in U.S. jobless claims boosted
optimism in the strength of the global economy.



Emerging Markets

The Bovespa index gained, capping a second weekly advance, as improving
prospects for lower borrowing costs offset concern Petroleo Brasileiro SA’s
$75 billion share sale will dilute demand for the nation’s stocks.



India’s industrial output growth quickened in July, increasing pressure on
the central bank to raise interest rates next week for the fifth time this
year.



Bond Market

Treasuries fell, sending 10-year yield to a one-month high, while U.S. and
Asian stocks rose as an increase in American wholesale inventories and
growth in Japan’s economy bolstered optimism in the global recovery.
