美國市場

美國股市下跌,各主要指數連續第2週報跌,因商品價格下跌推低石油及金屬股,此前市場憂慮經濟反彈乏力。



歐洲市場

歐洲股市創下7週以來最大單週跌幅,因美國及日本經濟報告增添市場對環球經濟復甦可能停滯不前的憂慮。



日本市場

日本股市下跌,基準指數連續第2週回落,因美國申領失業救濟人數意外上升,及費城製造業指數下跌。

 

亞太市場

亞洲股市下跌,區內基準指數於6日以來首度下跌,因市場憂慮需求放緩將會拖累Sharp Corp及Billabong International Ltd的表現。



台灣加權指數大致持平。EVA Airways Corp上升至自2008年6月18日以來最高水平,因CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets分析員Tay Her Lim及Anita Chen調高該公司的12個月目標價。



台灣7月份出口訂單連續第10個月上升,因有跡象顯示當地的微芯片及螢幕需求能夠抵禦環球經濟風險。



南韓Kospi指數下跌,但全週報升。證券商Hyundai Securities Co下跌,創下自1月13日以來最大跌幅。該公司於申報中公告,計劃競投Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co的債權人所出售的持股。其子公司Hyundai Elevator Co及Hyundai Merchant Marine Co於早前亦披露計劃加入競投該南韓建築商。



南韓7月份大型百貨公司銷售連續第17個月上升,因當地經濟復甦。



中國/香港

中國股市下跌,基準指數全週升幅收窄,因投資者揣測通脹可能拖慢政府放寬貨幣政策的步伐,及銀行為當地政府的貸款進行撥備將影響業界盈利。



香港股市下跌,恆生指數連續第2週回落,因市場揣測中國將會繼續採取措施壓抑資產泡沫形成及美國申領失業救濟人數意外上升,觸發市場對環球經濟增長的擔憂。



香港7月份通脹回落至7個月以來最低水平,因政府一次性免公屋租金。



新興市場

巴西股市第2日下跌,全週升幅收窄,因商品價格下跌 ,此前市場憂慮經濟反彈乏力。

 

債券市場

美國10年期國庫券孳息率連續第4週上升,創下自2月以來最長升勢,因有跡象顯示環球經濟增長減慢,增強全球流通量最高的美國國庫券作為避險港的吸引力。






U.S. Market

U.S. stocks fell, extending a second straight weekly decline for major benchmarks, as a drop in commodities pulled oil and metals producers down amid concern the economic rebound may be flagging.



European Market

European stocks posted the biggest weekly decline in seven weeks as economic reports from the U.S. and Japan heightened concern that the global economic recovery may be stalling.



Japan Market

Japanese stocks dropped, sending benchmark gauges to their second weekly decline, after U.S. jobless claims unexpectedly increased and a measure of manufacturing in the Philadelphia area fell.



Asia / Pacific Market

Asian stocks fell, with the region’s benchmark index dropping for the first time in six days, as concern of slowing demand dragged down shares of Sharp Corp. and Billabong International Ltd.



Taiwan’s Taiex index was little changed. EVA Airways Corp. gained to the highest since June 18, 2008, after CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets analysts Tay Her Lim and Anita Chen raised the 12-month share-price estimate.



Taiwan’s export orders increased for a 10th straight month in July in a sign demand for the island’s microchips and displays is weathering global economic risks.



South Korea’s Kospi index fell but rose over the week. Hyundai Securities Co., a South Korean brokerage, retreated, the most since Jan. 13. The company plans to bid for a stake creditors are selling in Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., according to a filing. Hyundai Securities affiliates Hyundai Elevator Co. and Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. earlier disclosed plans to join the bid for the South Korean builder.



Sales at South Korea’s major department stores increased in July for a 17th month amid an economic recovery.



China/ Hong Kong Market

China’s stocks fell, paring a weekly gain for the benchmark index, as investors speculated inflation will delay monetary easing and provisions for local-government loans will erode bank profits.



Hong Kong stocks fell, completing the benchmark index’s second straight week of losses, as speculation China will maintain policies aimed at curbing asset bubbles and an unexpected increase in U.S. jobless claims fuelled concern about the outlook for global growth.



Hong Kong’s inflation cooled to the slowest pace in seven months in July because of one-off government payments of public housing rentals.



Emerging Markets

Brazil’s Bovespa stock index fell for a second day, paring a weekly advance, as commodities dropped on concern the global economic recovery may falter.



Bond Market

Treasury 10-year notes headed for a fourth weekly gain, the longest run since February, on signs global economic growth is slowing, increasing the refuge appeal of the world’s most easily traded securities.
