美國市場
美國股市下跌,道瓊斯工業平均指數終止連續8日的升勢,因印度央行意外地加息,增強市場對政府撤出刺激經濟措施將影響經濟增長的預期。

歐洲市場
歐洲股市下跌,因印度央行意外地加息,增強市場對政府撤出刺激經濟措施將影響經濟增長的預期。


日本市場
日本股市上漲,日經225平均指數連續第6週上漲,因報告顯示美國首次申領失業救濟人數及費城製造業指數表現理想,提升市場對美國經濟的信心。

亞太市場
亞洲股市上升。日本汽車及電器生產商領漲,因報告顯示美國申領失業救濟人數減少,增強市場對該亞洲區最大出口市場復甦的信心。


台灣加權指數連續第4日上升,並連續第3週報升。電腦產品生產商Advantech Co上升至自1月20日以來最高水平,因其發言人表示,該公司打算向董事會建議派發2009年股息。

南韓Kospi指數上升至自1月21日以來最高水平,並連續第6週上升。再生能源相關股份方面,Neosemitech Corp上升至自1月25日以來最高水平,而Dongkuk Structure & Construction Co亦上升,因南韓政府表示將要求主要供電商將再生能源佔總發電量的比率由調高。

中國/香港
中國股市收高,基準指數創下5週以來最大單週升幅。原材料股上揚,因中國鋁業的母公司同意購買非洲礦業資產股權,及銅價上升。

香港股市上升,扭轉早段跌勢。中國鋁業上升,因其母公司同意購買非洲礦業資產股權,抵銷東方海外國際的跌幅。

新興市場
巴西股市創下3週以來最大跌幅。石油及金屬股領跌,因商品價格下跌及投資者揣測消費需求及利率處於紀錄低位將刺激通脹上升。

印度央行意外地加息,為自2008年7月以來首次,因通脹上升至16個月以來最高位。央行在原定於下月份舉行的貨幣政策會議前加息,屬市場意料之外。

債券市場
美國兩年期及十年期國庫券孳息率息差收窄至自1月以來最低水平,因報告顯示上月份消費物價維持不變,及生產物價跌幅高於市場預期。

 

U.S. Market
U.S. stocks declined, ending an eight-day winning streak for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, as India’s unexpected interest rate boost spurred speculation withdrawals of economic stimulus will curtail global growth.

European Market
European stocks declined after India’s central bank unexpectedly lifted interest rates, increasing speculation that withdrawal of economic stimulus measures may hamper global growth.

Japan Market
Japanese stocks rose, sending the Nikkei 225 Stock Average to its sixth weekly advance, after reports on U.S. jobless claims and Philadelphia manufacturing boosted confidence in the world’s biggest economy.

Asia / Pacific Market
Asian stocks rose, led by Japanese car and electronics makers, after a report on fewer U.S. jobless claims boosted confidence in the recovery of the region’s biggest export market.

Taiwan’s Taiex index rose for the fourth day, and advanced for the third week. Advantech Co., a computer product maker, surged to the highest since Jan. 20. Spokesman William Tseng said in a phone interview the company plans to propose to its board of directors to pay a cash dividend of NT$4 per share for 2009.

South Korea’s Kospi index rose to the highest since Jan. 21, its sixth consecutive weekly advance. Renewable energy-related shares: Neosemitech Corp. jumped to the highest since Jan. 25. Dongkuk Structure & Construction Co. gained. South Korean government said it will require major power producers to boost supplies of renewable energy.

China/ Hong Kong Market
China’s stocks rose, capping the biggest weekly gain in five weeks, as raw-material producers rallied after Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd.’s parent agreed to buy a stake in an African iron ore mine and copper prices gained.

Hong Kong stocks rose, erasing declines, as Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. rallied after its parent agreed to buy a stake in an African iron ore mine, countering a drop in Orient Overseas (International) Ltd.

Emerging Markets
Brazil’s Bovespa stock index fell the most in three weeks, led by oil and metals producers, as commodities prices slumped and investors speculated consumer demand and record low interest rates will spur inflation.

India’s central bank unexpectedly raised interest rates for the first time since July 2008 after inflation accelerated to a 16-month high. The surprise decision comes a month before the bank’s scheduled monetary policy meeting.


Bond Market
The difference in yield between 2- and 10-year Treasury notes was the narrowest since January as reports this consumer prices were unchanged last month and producer prices dropped more than forecast.
